One more data point in this dicussion. On the XOR beamlines 1-4 we have
about 30 IOCs. The autosave/restore worked on all of them and we did not
loose any settings from the power loss. All creates are running on
synApps_4_2 or 4_3 and the NFS server is a Sun worstation running Solaris 8.
