Re: EPS Systems and PLC's

	At the Gemini project, we are currently involved in a System Design
review for our Global Interlock System. We had baselined the hardware
configuration close to that used in the APS ACIS (6008-SV I/O scanners, AB
DCM modules, AB PLC-5/20s) but are still somewhat concerned about the 
hardware cost (especially since 5/20s themselves are ~$4800).

	We'd like to stay with A-B equipment since several other subsystems are
PLC-5 based. So Mark River's investigation of the PLC-500s is of interest to
us.
