Yes, at least one of our IOCs did not restore auto_settings.sav
correctly, though it did restore auto_positions.sav.  We have not
figured out why.

After the power came back our IOCs were all stuck at the vxWorks boot
prompt.  This is understood, because the IOCs recover quickly when power
comes back, while the Linux boot host takes a while to reboot.  The IOCs
have given up trying to boot by the time the Linux machine is ready to
answer their rsh or ftp requests.

Users did reboot the IOC a number of times after the Linux boot host
came back, and it is possible that the IOC got rebooted while it was
saving the auto_settings.sav file, corrupting it.
