my secretary wants to know how to set people up on beamline_controls.

i figured i'd save her and some administrator the trouble and just have the
mailing list software give me instructions, which i would forward to her, etc., etc..

instead i'm going to get lots of joking replies from folks around the ring on
what i can do for help on several hilarious fronts, i'm sure.

so, 
who is in charge of this list?
who adds or deletes names?
can an individual add or delete his/her self?
