UNICAT uses the Keithley 2000-SCAN with the 10-channel scanner card
(via an IP RS232 module through HiDEOS). Same as SRI-CAT uses. Device
and software support seems to be nice (thanks to Kurt Goetze) and you
can set it to make conversion for thermocouple readings.

Love controllers _were_ used (reading them via an IP RS485 module
through HiDEOS) until the HiDEOS configuration changed recently.
Can't run the existing Love controller support when HiDEOS and
VxWorks are on the same board. No problem with the Love controllers,
just the loveTask that was running in HiDEOS. Probably very easy
to rebuild a driver for the Love controllers with the Generic Serial Record.

Also, Love controllers can convert thermocouple inputs as well.
BUT, they will not convert thermcouple readings at liquid
nitrogen temperatures.

We use the Xycom XVME 540 analog input/output module.
16 inputs (differential or single-ended) and 4 outputs.
Support was written by William Lupton (& Co.) at Keck II.
