I know that when Mohan Ramanathan was running a list server at MSD, he had
configured the sucker so that all error messages either went to the
administrator of the list or some other 'dummy' account - people all over
were not made aware of all the transmission errors. I think he also trapped
the subscribe/unsubscribe messages that were misposted to the wrong list as
well. So this stuff can probably be configured not to happen . . .
