We have used the OMS VME 58 with the Klinger/Newport MDC3 motor driver. This
is a simple way to drive small DC motors. The only trick is that the MDC3
requires pulse-pulse input, while the VME 58 puts out pulse-direction. We
have built a little one-chip PCB which we mount inside the MDC3 to convert.
My guess is that the MD4 could be interfaced the same way, but I have not
actually tried it.
