Re: Newport & Aerotech stepp

                      RE>Newport & Aerotech stepping motors 2/19/97

we have used aerotech stages with both the new and old step-pak drivers. the
pinouts are on the web at:
http://www.aps.anl.gov/xfd/WWW/xfd/bcda/Documents/motors/table2.html

many aerotech stages have optical limits which require a voltage source to
operate and which are not fail-safe.

we have built a special panel which inverts the limit lines to make them
fail-safe and which provides other functionality to drive and limit lines.

if you are interested we can show it to you.

Hey:

Has anyone connected the VME 58 to Newport MD4 motor drivers?
Has anyone driven Aerotech motors with any particular drivers?
Has anyone driven Aerotech motors with the ACS StepPak?

Looking for the pinouts (best case) or
any info / experience (typical case) y'all might have.

Thanks,
   Pete Jemian
