EPICS Win32 Development

For those thinking about playing with EPICS client application development
on Win'95/Win-NT systems, Borland has just released at 30 day limited
version of Delphi 2.0, their award winning Rapid Application Development
Environment - (Basically, a Visual Pascal). They have also dropped the
prices of their commercial versions.

It has some advantages of Visual Basic and is rather easy to learn.

The Borland WWW reference is

http:/www.borland.com

A local (to APS, at least copy) is also on the BESSRC-CAT WWW page.

Me

P.S., Oh, the limitations. The EXE's and DLL's produced can only be run
while the development environment is active. However, if you were
interested in this sort of development tool and wanted to try before you
buy, this is your chance.
