I saw these same units a few weeks ago, and would like to add another
comment about survivability. The motors that XSI uses are much smaller
than the ones usually supplied. This is a good thing, since when the slits
are jammed they are less likely to be damaged. Also, the XSI controller
ALWAYS remembers the slit position, and will not jam them. The only way
this can be messed up, is if someone moves the slit position by hand. To
avoid this possiblity, the slit units have little buttons right on them so
that you can adjust the slit 'manually' without the controller loosing
position.
