Wind River Systems presentation

Dear folks,

Mike Bayers and Ed Klein of Wind River Systems would like to have an
hour or two to present Tornado, and to discuss future developments in
VxWorks, etc. They suggested the week of 9/22-9/26 (the last week of
this run), or 9/29-10/3 (the first of two weeks between runs). Any
preferences among those likely to attend?

Subtext: WRS is tired of supporting VxWorks 5.2, and is trying to make
it easy and attractive for us to convert to 5.3 (Tornado). They will
convert a 5.2 developer's license (e.g., Sun cross compiling to a 680x0
processor) to be converted to Tornado (e.g., PC to 680x0) at no cost,
for example. No doubt they also hope to sell some new developer's
licenses in the process, because you can't do Sun->680x0 and PC->680x0
with the same license.

WRS also wants to know whether they should focus the presentation
on VxWorks internals/features or on host-side things like debugging
support (e.g., WindView), and whether a joint presentation by WRS and
Motorola would be well received. (Evidently, Motorola has a rack-mount
PCI-bus 'crate' with VxWorks-supported PowerPC or X86 processors, which
might be of interest.)

Well, what would you like and when would you like it?
