RESET button in Mupac crate
This message applies to Mupac VME crate model 5099KDL20FK-100
Some of the VME crates from MUPAC are arriving with miswired RESET
switches on the front panel. In the miswired condition, one needs
to hold the RESET button in to operate the crate --- release the button
and push it back in to reset the crate. This is backwards!
Call to Mupac verifies the correct wiring connection should be
red 3b
black 4a
These are soldered to the rear terminals on the front panel switch, not
the ones closest to the panel. If you open the case, you'll understand.
Access to the RESET switch is gained by removing the bottom of the crate.
Thanks to John Winans at APS for diagnosing the situation.
