EPICS class

We plan to offer an EPICS class primarily intended for
beamline-controls applications during the entire week of April 18. The
Accelerator Controls Group and the Beamline Controls Group are
collaborating in the planning of this course, and we'd like to have
your input on content, emphasis, and schedule--particularly those of
you who have already taken an EPICS class.

Althought we strongly recommend the week-long schedule with 20 hours of
classes interspersed with 20 hours of hands-on time to work on
assignments, it is possible to squeeze all of the classes into three
days, leaving as an option two additional days for hands-on work.

To sign up for the EPICS class, please contact Susan Barr:
barr@anlaps.aps.anl.gov
(708) 252-5981

To start the discussion on course content, a schedule from last Fall's
class is reproduced below. Please address comments and advice to the
beamline_controls list (beamline_controls@aps.anl.gov) or to me.
